Six-week meditation course with Tergar facilitator HolgerYeshe
In everyday life we are confronted with a wide variety of challenges and seemingly at the mercy of our experiences and emotions – whether it is meeting and interacting with our fellow human beings, fearing sudden changes in life, worrying about our jobs, or grieving a loss.
Meditation can help us develop a different attitude toward these challenges. After all, regular meditation can have positive effects on almost every aspect of life: greater emotional and physical well-being, contentment and serenity, relaxation and happiness.
And the good thing is: we can meditate anytime, anywhere.
Tergar founder Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche is a Tibetan Buddhist meditation master. With his humorous and approachable manner, Mingyur Rinpoche shows ways to transform obstacles into opportunities and to harness the potential of our own minds and realize our fundamental goodness.
Mingyur Rinpoche has personally tried and greatly benefited from the practices and methods of the millennia-old Tibetan Buddhist tradition.
He learned and practiced meditation from early childhood and became interested in Western science at a young age. He is in close contact with scientists and is himself a participant in a long-term study investigating the positive effects of meditation on the brain.
Around the globe, he teaches people how to meditate and shares his own sometimes difficult experiences in workshops in an authentic way.
The course is aimed at people who are interested in meditation and are looking for a way to integrate meditation into their everyday life. Experienced meditators are also welcome to use the workshop as a deepening and inspiration.
In the course you will learn:
- More about the importance of awareness
- How to balance meditation with your daily life
- How to use all aspects of your life to support meditation
- More about the difference between the essence and the experience of meditation
The course takes place 2 times a week:
- Sunday from 17:00 to 19:00 CET/ 05:00pm to 07:00pm (6 meetings)
- Wednesday morning from 07:00 to 07:30 CET/ 07:00am to 07:30am (5 meetings)
The goal of the workshop is to build a regular meditation practice suitable for everyday life through concrete methods of meditation, practicing together and sharing experiences in the group.
The course is held in cooperation with the Czech Tergar community. The course will be held in English. Simultaneous translation into Czech will be provided, which each participant can activate individually as needed. The videos will be subtitled in Czech.
The workshop will be led by longtime monk and Tergar facilitator HolgerYeshe, assisted by Veronika Bílá
HolgerYeshe, born in Nuremberg, has been meditating for 20 years and has been a disciple of Mingyur Rinpoche since 2005. In 2010 he ordained as a monk and since then has been intensively studying the Tibetan language and Buddhist philosophy. He is also interested in the social challenges of our time.
Veronika has a long practice of meditation in the tradition of Mingyur Rinpoche and leading meditation groups
