Please not: This Anytime, Anywhere Meditation Pilot Workshop is aimed at people who have NOT yet taken part in a Tergar meditation course Joy of Living, Path of Liberation events or a Tergar retreat. The event will be held in English.
__
A workshop that brings traditional wisdom into contemporary practices, Anytime Anywhere Meditation will dismantle any ideas that meditation is a rigid pursuit with lofty, unattainable goals.
You will learn that compassion is easy, wisdom is accessible, and awareness is always within you. This workshop is the perfect opportunity to start a journey of self-discovery with Tergar.
We are pleased to offer a 5-week online pilot workshop based on the premier program, Anytime Anywhere Meditation, designed to make meditation practice accessible and effective.
During this workshop, experienced Tergar Guide HolgerYeshe will guide you step by step through the main topics of the program: awareness, compassion, and wisdom.
This pilot program is designed to gather feedback from participants on various aspects of the curriculum and support materials. All feedback will be anonymous.
What will you learn?
You’ll learn that traditional wisdom passed through modern scrutiny offers a new approach to meditation, providing effective tools to reveal what you’ve always held within yourself — your innate well-being that doesn’t depend on the circumstances.
What is included in this program?
- Video teaching from Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche
- Sessions with Tergar guides
- Guided meditations
- Group discussions
This program is open to everyone. We’ll ask some of the participants to give feedback on a voluntary basis by sending a separate survey after you register.
The course takes place 1 x a week for approx. 2 hours each: Mondays from 19:00 to 21:00 CET (07:00 to 09:00 p.m. CET).
As a token of our gratitude, participants who attend feedback sessions following at least 5 course sessions will receive a complimentary 6-month subscription to the Joy of Living online program—the next step in yourmeditation journey.
About the workshop guide
The workshop will be led by long-time monk and Tergar facilitator HolgerYeshe.
HolgerYeshe was born in Germany and began practicing meditation in 1999. Since that time, he has studied and practiced in both the Theravadan and Tibetan Buddhist lineages. In 2005, he met Mingyur Rinpoche, and in 2010 he ordained as a Buddhist monk under Rinpoche’s tutelage. During two decades of study and practice, HolgerYeshe became proficient in the Tibetan language and now serves as primary interpreter for Khenpo Kunga.
After 10 years in Nepal and India, HolgerYeshe is back in Europe and currently helps codirect Tergar Meditation Community e.V., in Germany, offering meditation seminars, coordinating community outreach, giving talks, and providing support for students in their meditation practice. For many years HolgerYeshe has been mentoring Tergar meditation practice groups across Europe and the world.
Seeing the benefits of meditation practice in his own life and those around him, HolgerYeshe has a particular interest in making meditation accessible and in the intersection between the meditative tradition and Western modes of inquiry.
HolgerYeshe loves mountain biking, going on hikes, and rock climbing. He is usually on the road with no stable home.
